The glasses are divided into categories by light transmission. The VLT value indicates how much light passes through the lenses.
Category 3 - transmits 8-18% of light. Excellent in bright sunlight; colours stay true to the original. For example street, road and mountain biking, the mountains, snowy conditions and the sea.
Category 2 - transmits 18-43% of light. All-round use for sunny and variable weather. Eliminates blue and violet light, improves depth perception and contrast, and works very well in fast sports and situations where you need to judge distances. For example road and mountain biking, skiing, golf.
Category 1 - transmits 43-80% of light. Lenses for cloudy or rainy days. Excellent in autumn and winter when there is little light but it comes from a distracting direction. They protect the eyes and help you see variations in the terrain as well as light and shadow contrasts invisible to the naked eye.
