Shape: Directional Twin
A directional twin snowboard blends the freestyle versatility of a twin shape with a slight directional emphasis. Although this board is symmetrical in shape and suitable for riding switch, it has a subtle directional aspect, such as a slightly longer nose or a setback stance, that improves performance in one main direction. This construction keeps the playful freestyle feel while optimizing stability and control, especially in snowy or unpredictable conditions. It is ideal for those who love the park but want more performance when riding trails or specific terrain, since a directional twin is a versatile compromise between freestyle agility and directional stability.
Profile: CamRock 3-4-3
CamRock boards have a profile where the center of the board sits closer to the snow while the nose and tail are lifted. This increases float in powder, makes it easier to start turns, and is generally more forgiving. Compared to traditional camber boards, edge hold and stability may be slightly reduced.
- Sintered - YES Snowboards sintered bases are made by fusing fine polyethylene particles under heat and pressure, creating a porous and durable surface. Known for high speed and strong wax absorption, these base surfaces are favored by advanced riders for their high performance in a variety of snow conditions.
- Poplar/Paulownia core - The YES Snowboards Poplar/Paulownia core is made from 50% poplar and 50% paulownia. Poplar is light and flexible, boosting maneuverability. The even lighter paulownia reduces weight while maintaining strength. This blend creates a light, responsive, and durable snowboard, perfectly suited to a range of riding styles and conditions.
- TRIAX - Triaxial or Triax fiberglass in a snowboard refers to a fiberglass layup in which the fibers run in three directions - typically lengthwise and crosswise along the board as well as at an angle. This configuration increases torsional stiffness, boosting overall stability and response. Snowboards with TRIAX fiberglass are generally more precise and controllable, making them suitable for riders who value stability at higher speeds, better edge hold, and stronger performance in demanding conditions. Triax fiberglass is often found in snowboards built for advanced and aggressive riding styles.
FOREVER FLEX - Forever Flex is a manufacturing process that helps stabilize a board's flex and rocker profile for its entire lifespan. Our boards now finish the first production stages slightly over-bent, and we then break them in with a special machine that simulates extreme riding. By flexing the fresh board fibers and epoxy at the factory, the materials finally settle in the board layer just as if you had ridden the board for 20 days. This process helps us reduce production tolerances, so the board you buy has a more precise flex and rocker profile that changes less as you ride it more.
Hardness: 7/10 - A perfectly symmetrical shape for balanced riding, equally versatile whether ridden regular or switch. A great balance between stability and freestyle agility, no matter which way you point it.
