A powerful, thick-bladed full-tang knife designed to perform in all conditions and for every task. Black blade. The sturdiest knife Morakniv has ever made. Suitable for versatile, demanding use as part of the outdoor gear you always carry: hunting, fishing, expeditions, hiking, all-round general use, military use, authorities and more. One of the five essentials needed to survive in the wild. Only the finest available materials have been used in its manufacture.
Supplied with a polymer sheath. The knife can be inserted into the sheath from either end, making it efficient to use in low light and by both right- and left-handed users. The sheath with knife is easy to snap off the belt loop – for example when going into a shop – and leave in the vehicle.
The blade has a Scandi-grind profile that makes sharpening easy. The spine is ground to work perfectly with a fire steel. The polyamide handle is exceptionally resistant to mechanical stress and twisting, and its surface offers an excellent grip that makes work more effective. The handle has a generous hole for a cord or other needs.
The blade is made of high-grade high-carbon steel with a thin, scratch-resistant DLC coating that gives the knife a stylish appearance. Overall length: 225 mm, made of the same steel throughout. Blade length: 109 mm. Blade thickness: 3.2 mm. Weight: 177 g. 10-year warranty against material and manufacturing defects. Made in Sweden.
Delivered in a peg-hangable retail gift box measuring 26 cm x 5.8 cm x 4.4 cm. The package includes: the knife, a sheath and a detachable closed belt loop (for belts up to 70 mm wide).
For those planning a survival kit: the four other essential survival items (with which you can do almost anything, but which are the hardest to create from what nature provides) are: a fire-making tool that works when wet (a fire steel), a space blanket, paracord, and a container in which to boil water. Once you have these five items, everything needed for eating and for shelter from the elements can be fashioned quite easily from what nature offers – whether you are lost in the forest, surrounded as a soldier, or shipwrecked in the archipelago.
