The frame is built stronger than on other types of bikes and is designed for the best possible off-road capability. The geometry can be chosen to achieve optimal stability or maneuverability.
The material is aluminium, the most widely used. It is lighter than steel and tougher than carbon fibre, used in the manufacture of many types of bicycles, and offers the best price-to-weight ratio.
No matter the trail or the weather, with the Umit Solaris XC HYD no challenge is too hard. Built on a 29" 6061 aluminium frame (size 20 / 51 cm, recommended for riders 176–190 cm tall) and finished in green, it rolls on 29" double-layer aluminium rims with MITAS Ocelot 29 x 2.10 tyres and supports a load of up to 140 kg.
