FEATURES:
Blade
The Opinel No. 7 knife has a blade length of 80 mm. The blade is made from Sandvik 12C27 stainless steel, modified and adapted specifically for Opinel knives, known for its exceptionally high quality and easy everyday maintenance. The steel is hardened through thermal treatment using martensitic hardening. The carbon content in this steel is no less than 0.40%, making the blade highly durable and resistant to corrosion.
Handle
The handle is made from French beech wood, whose smooth texture with minimal grain is ideal for dyeing. The handle is lacquered to protect the wood from moisture and dirt. Color - purple/pink.
Virobloc safety ring
The My First Opinel No. 7 knife, like all other folding Opinel knives starting from No. 6, features the "Virobloc" safety ring invented by Marcel Opinel in 1955. Cut from stainless steel, the Virobloc ring consists of two parts: a fixed one and a movable one. The blade locks both when open (for safe use) and when closed (ensuring safety during transport).
