TheKershaw Blur is a very handy folding knife, which is designed for everyday carry and versatile use. The purpose of the knife is best accentuated by its optimal size, functional style and proven technical solutions.
The 76 mm long blade is made of Swedish 14C28N stainless steel hardened between 58-60 HRC. Due to the high purity of the alloy, 14C28N steel is distinguished by its high hardness, corrosion resistance and, importantly for the user, long retention of working sharpness.
The slim blade with a utilitarian recurve profile has a matte finish has a striking BlackWash finish (black oxidation), which effectively masks any scratches or abrasions to the blade from use.
Thanks to a concave grind and a cutting edge with a distinctly rounded belly, the knife has excellent cutting qualities, and the blade does not wedge in the material.
The thickness of the blade at its widest point is 3 mm, which is a compromise between durability and functionality of the knife in everyday work.
Comfort of use
The blade can be conveniently unfolded with one hand using a double-sided peg, so that after removing it from the pocket the knife is instantly ready for work.
This solution is convenient for both right- and left-handed users, and also allows comfortable operation of the knife with gloves.
The opening process is facilitated by the SpeedSafe assist mechanism. When the flipper flipper is pressed, the assist mechanism activates an internal spring that dynamically unfolds the blade, making the knife ready for use in a fraction of a second.
