TheBenchmade 575-1 Mini Presidio II is a smaller and upgraded version of the iconic tactical knife, featuring lighter CF-Elite plastic facings, a CPM-S30V powder-coated steel blade and a reliable axis-lock.
Premium steel
The 81mm long drop-point head is made of CPM-S30V premium steel hardened to 58-60 HRC. The American powder steel is particularly valued for its resistance to corrosion, wear (high impact strength) and long maintenance of working sharpness.
When choosing a knife made of such steel, it is worth getting a diamond sharpener, as sharpening with a standard ceramic whetstone can be very labor-intensive and inefficient.
Utility drop-point blade
Perfectly sharp cutting edge, strong stab and concave grind provide aggressive cutting, and good penetration. Optimal size and light weight (90 g) make the Benchmade 570SBK-1 Presidio II great for use as an edc knife.
Satin finish (polishing) gives the blade a modern style
Quick unfolding
A double-sided peg is used to unfold the blade, making the knife easy to use for right- and left-handed people. The convenient location of the peg also allows comfortable operation of the knife with gloves.
Safety during operation
The knife uses Benchmade's flagship lock i.e. Axis-lock mechanism valued for its great resistance to dynamic loads, insensitivity to dirt and ease of use. The strength and rigidity of the knife's construction is ensured by solid steel liners of increased thickness.
Lightweight and durable liners
Theknife has contoured liners made of special CF-Elite (carbon fiber reinforced nylon), which is much lighter and stiffer than, for example, G10 laminate.
Thegrip has a contoured shape and expands at the base of the blade, thus creating a natural hilt that prevents the hand from slipping on the blade and provides a point of support for the fingers.
Beveled frets and small square protrusions emphasize the tactical character, and provide a stable grip on the knife. Discreetly carrying the knife in a pocket is made possible by a high-mounted clip that can be switched to the other side.
