Ganzo G7452-OR - a popular EDC knife
The 440C steel used here is hardened to 58-60 HRC. It offers good corrosion resistance, decent edge retention, wear resistance, and is easy and quick to sharpen. These properties make a 440C steel knife an ideal choice for beginner outdoor enthusiasts and for those who do not want to spend a long time sharpening knives made of high-end steels. The strong tip and high flat grind provide good penetration, blade strength and good cutting performance. The blade has a stonewash finish that helps hide scratches. A slightly raised spine near the base of the blade creates a comfortable thumb rest.
Thanks to the ambidextrous thumb stud, the knife can be opened quickly and easily with one hand. This makes the knife not only ready for use in an instant, but also convenient for both right- and left-handed users. Once opened, the blade is securely locked by the G-Lock mechanism - a reliable lock with high mechanical strength which, like the thumb stud, can be operated with either the left or right hand.
The handle is mainly responsible for a comfortable grip. The G7452-OR features contoured G10 scales attached to the steel frame liners with torx screws. G10 is a fiberglass-based composite whose strength significantly exceeds that of ordinary plastic and is comparable to soft metals. The scales have a fine geometric texture that prevents the knife from slipping out of the hand and improves grip.
Comfortable carry in a pocket, on a belt or on a backpack is ensured by a spring steel pocket clip (tip-up carry) that can be moved to the left side.
