Ganzo Firebird - edc knives in the outdoor store flask
The head, with a typically utilitarian drop-point profile, has an optimal length of 86 mm, allowing the knife to handle most of the tasks we will face during everyday and outdoor activities. A flat grind has been used on the wide blade, which not only has less tendency to wedge in the material being cut, but also more in strength compared to the popular concave grind.
Ganzo knife in D2 steel - for hikers, outdoorsmen and hunters
The blade is made of tough and durable D2 tool steel hardened to 60 HRC. D2 is a carbon steel with the highest corrosion resistance, valued for its high abrasion resistance, long maintenance of working sharpness and high cutting aggressiveness. Thanks to such properties, the Ganzo knife made of D2 steel will work wonderfully as a travel or everyday knife, without ruining our wallet at the same time. When sharpening D2 steel, it is recommended to use diamond sharpeners, which significantly speed up and facilitate the process of grinding the steel.
Ganzo folding knife with flipper
For unfolding the blade with one hand, a milled fin (flipper) protruding at the base of the blade is used. Despite the low price, the process of unfolding the blade is extremely smooth, fast and comfortable for both right and left-handed people. The transverse frets used on the back of the blade (thumb ramp) allow the thumb to rest securely while planing and cutting with precision. When the blade is extended, it is locked with the popular liner-lock, a mechanism valued for its strength and comfort. The locking function is performed by a skeleton strip (liners), which, when the blade is unfolded, supports its root and prevents it from folding during work.
The knife's handle is formed by textured facings made of G10 laminate, a material that is resistant to mechanical impact, heat and some active chemicals. The knife weighs only 109 grams, so it does not weigh too much on our pocket and does not cause discomfort during daily carrying. For comfortable carrying of the edc knife, a lightweight wire clip is used with the possibility of mounting on both sides of the handle.
Ganzo Firebird FH922-BK is a sturdy folding knife, made of good quality materials, recommended for those who are looking for a thoroughbred edc knife at an affordable price.
