The blade of the Benchmade 710FE-24 knife is made of premium steel.
Theknife has a 76mm long blade, made of elite CPM-S90V stainless steel, which is subjected to optimal hardening for EDC knives to a hardness of 59-61 HRC.
CPM-S90V is a luxurious stainless steel with a very high vanadium and carbon content, which make the blade stay sharp for a long time and highly resistant to abrasion and corrosion.
When choosing a hard-steel knife, get a diamond sharpener, as sharpening with a standard ceramic whetstone can be very labor-intensive and inefficient.
The blade is coated with Flat Earth PVD (gas phase coating), which protects the blade from scratches, enhances its hardness and provides additional protection against corrosion.

The knife's handle is formed by liners made of lightweight and durable 6061-T6 aircraft aluminum, which are attached to steel liners, responsible for the rigidity and strength of the construction. There is a milling on the surface of the liners, which increases grip reliability with wet or dirty hands. In addition, the thumb stud and Axis Lock pin have also been satin-finished to provide visual consistency with the knife's aluminum liners.
At the end of the handle is a hole for a paracord tail or lanyard. The use of a black oxidized Deep Carry clip allows the knife to be carried discreetly and conveniently in a pocket, making it an ideal EDC (Everyday Carry) tool.
