Kamado Joe Jr ceramic heat deflector - an original Kamado Joe accessory for indirect cooking, slow cooking and smoking in the Joe Jr grill. The ceramic plate protects food from the direct heat of the coals and helps distribute heat more evenly inside the grill.
Using the deflector makes it easier to maintain lower cooking temperatures and to prepare larger cuts of meat, ribs or other dishes with indirect heat.
Why choose it? If you want to use your Kamado Joe Jr for more than just direct grilling, the heat deflector is an essential accessory for slow cooking, smoking and dishes that require indirect heat.
