The Fenix PD36R V2.0 body is made of aviation-grade aluminum, treated with HA-III hard-anodizing, so the flashlight's tube and head resist scratches, wear, and corrosion even in the most unfavorable conditions. The light source is the new-generation LUMINUS SST-40 LED, emitting up to 1700 lumens of light output at a distance of up to 396 m. The cool-neutral light color reduces eye strain, ensures more natural color rendering, and greater detail. Due to its tactical purpose, the flashlight uses a smooth SMO reflector, ensuring a concentrated light beam with a strongly illuminated center.

The user can choose from 6 light modes: turbo, high, medium, low, eco, and strobe, thus adjusting the lighting according to need. It is worth noting that the total operating time of the flashlight - taking into account the cooling intervals required for safe operation - in turbo mode with 1700 lumens reaches almost 3 hours. This result is achieved thanks to the combination of a modern, relatively low-current LED and a highly efficient battery.

The flashlight is powered by a 21700 type cell with a powerful capacity of up to 5000 mAh! The battery used has twice the capacity of a standard 18650 cell, which naturally means enormous performance and impressive runtime. In addition, thanks to the battery charge indicator (LED on the side switch) and low-voltage warning, we can monitor the flashlight's operation and manage the remaining energy reserve. Each time the flashlight is turned on, the indicator shows the battery status for 3 seconds. The PD36R has a built-in USB-C charging port, allowing very fast charging of the cell. The USB-C port also allows charging the flashlight from a portable power bank, significantly increasing mobility and possibilities. The port is protected from moisture, water, and dust by a rubber plug.

The PD36R has two switches: a main (tail) switch and a side switch for changing modes. The tactical button turns on momentary and constant lighting, and its position allows convenient control when held together with a small firearm. The steel side button is responsible for changing light brightness and activating the strobe. Thanks to the memory function, the last used mode is automatically selected the next time the flashlight is turned on.
