TECHNOLOGIES
100% UV PROTECTION – The ultraviolet filters in UVEX glasses provide 100% protection for the iris against dangerous UV rays up to 400 nm. This is also the essence of the company name: UV-EX = UltraViolet EXcluded.
LITEMIRROR – The lenses provide additional protection against infrared radiation.
ADJUSTABLE SOFT NOSE PADS AND SOFT TEMPLES – Glasses fit best when you do not feel them while wearing them. They provide maximum comfort without any feeling of pressure.
DISTORTION-FREE LENSES – Image distortion can be distracting, especially when riding at higher speeds. That is why UVEX uses premium decentered lenses that provide a clear view without distortion. See things as they really are.
SAFETY TESTS – All UVEX eyewear models are carefully checked in the laboratory during special tests. This ensures high quality, functionality and safety. The data obtained during testing is later used to improve the glasses.
IMPACT RESISTANCE – UVEX glasses are tested according to the EN ISO 12312-1:2013 standard. The test involves firing a 6 mm steel ball weighing 0.86 g at the lenses at a speed of 45 m/s (162 km/h). This means the glasses, and your eyes, are protected against mechanical damage.
DURABLE AND SCRATCH-RESISTANT – The lenses are made of durable polycarbonate, which retains its strength properties down to minus 40 °C. A special coating protects the lenses against damage and scratches without compromising optical properties according to the EN ISO 12312-1 standard. Except for lenses with a full mirror coating.
