TECHNOLOGIES
100% UV PROTECTION The ultraviolet filters in UVEX glasses provide 100% protection for the iris against dangerous UV rays up to 400nm. This is also the essence of the company name. UV-EX = UltraViolet EXcluded.
LITEMIRROR The lenses additionally protect against infrared rays.
ADAPTIVE SOFT NOSE PADS AND SOFT TEMPLES Glasses fit well when you don't feel them while wearing them. They provide maximum comfort without any sense of pressure.
LENSES WITHOUT IMAGE DISTORTION Image distortions can be disruptive, especially when travelling at higher speeds. That is why UVEX uses top-class decentred lenses that provide a clear image without any distortion. See the image as it really is.
SAFETY TESTS All UVEX glasses models are carefully checked in the laboratory through special tests. This guarantees high quality, functionality and safety. The data obtained during the tests is later used to improve the glasses.
IMPACT RESISTANCE UVEX glasses are tested according to the EN ISO 12312-1:2013 standard. The test performed: a 6mm steel ball weighing 0.86 g is fired at the lenses at a speed of 45 m/s (162 km/h). So the glasses, and at the same time your eyes, are protected against mechanical damage.
STRONG AND SCRATCH RESISTANT The lenses are made of strong polycarbonate, which retains its strength properties down to minus 40 °C. A special coating protects the lenses from damage - scratches - without losing optical properties in accordance with the EN ISO 12312-1 standard. Except for lenses with a full mirror coating.
