TECHNOLOGIES
100% UV PROTECTION The ultraviolet filters in UVEX glasses provide 100% protection for the iris against harmful UV rays up to 400nm. This is also the essence of the company name: UV-EX = UltraViolet EXcluded.
LITEMIRROR The lenses provide additional protection against infrared rays.
ADAPTIVE SOFT NOSE PADS AND SOFT TEMPLES Glasses fit best when you don't feel them while wearing. They provide maximum comfort without any feeling of pressure.
DISTORTION-FREE LENSES Image distortions can be disruptive, especially at higher speeds. That is why UVEX uses top-class decentred lenses that provide a clear view without any distortion. See the image as it really is.
SAFETY TESTS All UVEX glasses models are carefully checked in the laboratory during special tests. This guarantees high quality, functionality and safety. The data obtained during the tests is later used to improve the glasses.
IMPACT RESISTANCE UVEX glasses are tested according to the EN ISO 12312-1:2013 standard. The test performed: a 6mm steel ball weighing 0.86g is fired at the lenses at a speed of 45 m/s (162 km/h). This means the glasses, and with them your eyes, are protected against mechanical damage.
DURABLE AND SCRATCH RESISTANT The lenses are made of durable polycarbonate that retains its strength properties down to minus 40 °C. A special coating protects the lenses from damage - scratches - without losing optical properties in accordance with the EN ISO 12312-1 standard. This does not apply to lenses with a full mirror coating.
