TECHNOLOGIES
100% UV PROTECTION — The ultraviolet filters in UVEX glasses provide 100% protection for the eyes against dangerous UV rays up to 400 nm. This is also the essence of the company’s name: UV-EX = UltraViolet EXcluded.
LITEMIRROR — The lenses provide additional protection against infrared radiation.
ADJUSTABLE SOFT NOSE PADS AND SOFT TEMPLES — Glasses fit well when you hardly feel them while wearing them. They provide maximum comfort without any feeling of pressure.
DISTORTION-FREE LENSES — Image distortion can be distracting, especially when riding at higher speeds. That is why UVEX uses premium decentered lenses that provide a clear view without distortion. See the image as it really is.
SAFETY TESTS — All UVEX eyewear models are carefully tested in the laboratory during special tests. This guarantees high quality, functionality and safety. The data obtained during testing is later used to improve the glasses.
IMPACT RESISTANCE — UVEX glasses are tested according to the EN ISO 12312-1:2013 standard. Test: a 6 mm steel ball weighing 0.86 g is fired at the lenses at a speed of 45 m/s (162 km/h). This means the glasses, and your eyes, are protected against mechanical damage.
DURABLE AND SCRATCH-RESISTANT — The lenses are made from strong polycarbonate, which retains its strength properties even down to -40 °C.
