Technologies
PureGrip Compound - Based on an activated silica compound, this rubber technology was developed through intensive research at Continental's Korbach development center to deliver outstanding grip and cross-country performance. PureGrip ranks just behind the BlackChili compound and is used in performance products in the race and mountain bike segments.
ShieldWall System - The ShieldWall system combines high puncture protection with low rolling resistance and low weight. This is achieved by an additional all-round puncture protection layer made of a finely woven cross fabric, giving the tire strong resistance to punctures and damage. Despite the extra ply, the tire retains very good damping and high flexibility to adapt perfectly to the ground. The tubeless-ready bead allows easy, uncomplicated mounting. For the best sealing results, we recommend Continental RevoSealant.
Tubeless Ready - Developed especially for mountain biking, this puncture protection layer completely encircles both tire beads, making the carcass robust and resistant to damage and penetration by foreign objects. Tires made with this technology can also be used as Tubeless Ready.
