TECHNOLOGIES
ShieldWall is a tubeless system for the value-conscious buyer. Puncture resistance, light weight and good rolling are achieved with ShieldWall technology thanks to an additional densely, cross-woven layer that keeps the tyre flexible and adaptable to the terrain without compromising rolling. Thanks to a revolutionary tubeless-ready bead, the tyre can be mounted easily and effortlessly. For the best sealing and performance results, we recommend using the new Continental RevoSealant.
Suitable for electric bikes. When developing our e-bike tyres we draw on more than 100 years of experience gained in making moped and motorcycle tyres. All Continental city/touring tyres are designed to ride at a standard speed of at least 25 km/h. Tyres marked E-50 are also certified for use with S-pedelecs. The high-quality construction ensures strong puncture protection without increasing rolling resistance and protects against premature wear.
Tubeless Ready - the tyres can be used with or without tubes, as the tyre and rim are designed to fit tightly against each other. An additional universal puncture protection layer developed specifically for the mountain bike field makes Continental tyres especially resistant to damage and the penetration of foreign objects. For maximum effect, we combine ProTection with the BlackChili compound. The result: versatile, light and attractive tyres. All tyres with this technology can be adapted to a tubeless system.
