Technologies
E-25 - For our e-bike tires we draw on over 100 years of experience with moped and motorcycle tires. All of our city/trekking tires are rated to a standard speed of at least 25 km/h, while tires marked e50 are also certified for S-Pedelecs. Thanks to their high-quality structure, puncture protection is high and rolling resistance is low, protecting against premature wear caused by the additional driving force.
PureGrip Compound - Based on an activated silica compound, this technology was developed for high performance. After intensive development at Continental's Korbach research and development department, the result is a special compound with outstanding grip and off-road properties. The PureGrip rubber compound ranks just behind the BlackChili compound and is used in performance products in the race and mountain bike segments.
ShieldWall System - The ShieldWall system offers an optimal combination of high puncture protection, low rolling resistance and low weight. This is made possible by an additional all-round puncture protection layer made of a finely woven cross fabric, giving the tire high resistance to punctures and damage. Despite the additional ply, the tire retains very good damping and a high degree of flexibility to adapt perfectly to the ground. The tubeless-ready bead allows easy, uncomplicated mounting. For the best sealing results in use, we recommend Continental RevoSealant.
