Shimano GRX FD-RX820 front derailleur // 2x12-speed, 48T, Brazed-On, Down-Pull
With GRX, Shimano introduced the first drivetrain group made specifically for gravel. Since then, the range and use of gravel bikes has expanded significantly. Shimano is following this trend and expanding the GRX line accordingly. With 12 sprockets on the rear wheel and the choice between a 1x or 2x setup, you can tailor your gearing even more precisely to your needs.
The GRX FD-RX820 front derailleur is designed to accommodate the wider tyres of gravel bikes. Compared with Shimano Road derailleurs, the chainline has been moved 2.5 mm outward to 46 mm. Built for Shimano 12-speed chains and offering a 17-tooth capacity, it pairs perfectly with the GRX FC820-2 crankset in its 48-31 tooth configuration. Its Toggle Link construction offers even more cable-routing options and is therefore compatible with a wider range of frames. For optimal adjustment, it has its own adjustment screw to set the Bowden cable tension.
