Shape: True Twin
A twin snowboard has a symmetrical shape with an identical nose and tail, so riders can easily perform maneuvers and tricks in both regular and switch stance. This symmetrical construction delivers the same performance regardless of direction, making for a versatile riding experience. Ideal for freestyle riders and park enthusiasts, twin snowboards improve maneuverability, allow smooth transitions from one trick to the next and provide a balanced feel. The symmetrical shape encourages consistent, predictable riding, perfect for those who like to ride in both directions and land tricks evenly.
Profile: Camber
- A classic camber profile where the center of the board is lifted off the snow while the contact points sit closer to the bindings.
- Offers strong edge control and stability and makes it easier to pop into the air.
- Can be less forgiving than other profiles, so it suits advanced riders or those who prefer a more aggressive riding style.
1. Sintered
YES Snowboards sintered bases are made by fusing fine polyethylene particles under heat and pressure, creating a porous and durable surface. Known for high speed and excellent wax absorption, these bases are favored by advanced riders for their high performance across varied snow conditions.
2. Poplar/Paulownia core
The YES Snowboards Poplar/Paulownia core is made from 50% poplar and 50% paulownia. Poplar is light and flexible, boosting agility, while the even lighter paulownia reduces weight while keeping the board strong. This blend creates a light, responsive and durable snowboard that suits a wide range of riding styles and conditions.
3. TRIAX
Triaxial or Triax fiberglass refers to a fiberglass layup in which the fibers run in three directions - typically along and across the board and at an angle. This configuration increases torsional stiffness, improving overall stability and response. Snowboards with TRIAX fiberglass are generally more precise and controllable, making them ideal for those who value stability at higher speeds, better edge hold and better performance in demanding conditions. Triax fiberglass is often found in snowboards built for advanced riders and an aggressive riding style.
FOREVER FLEX
Forever Flex is a manufacturing process that helps stabilize the board's flex and rocker profile for its entire lifespan. Our boards now finish the first production stages slightly over-bent, and are then broken in with a special machine that simulates extreme riding. By flexing the fresh fibers and epoxy at the factory, the materials settle within the board's layup just as they would after 20 days of riding. This process lets us reduce production tolerances, so the board you buy has a more precise flex and rocker profile that changes less as you ride it.
Stiffness: 7/10
A perfectly symmetrical shape for balanced riding, equally versatile in regular and switch. A great balance between stability and freestyle agility, no matter which way you point it.
