Veloce is a versatile new suit suited to all swimming strokes and distances. It meets the needs of swimmers who prioritise maximum comfort without compromising on compression. The suit supports the muscles and allows plenty of freedom of movement.
The suit's Hyperforce™ fabric is tensoelastic (tension + elasticity): the fabric is firm yet flexible. Veloce combines medium compression throughout, durability and an entirely new kind of stretch. The suit feels pleasant to wear and does not restrict movement.
The Hyperforce™ fabric has a flow-guiding surface that reduces water resistance and improves glide. The fabric is a naturally water-repellent TPU fibre, which further improves hydrodynamics. Thanks to the material, the suit can be recycled at the end of its life.
The front of the suit features the X-tape structure familiar from Arena's Carbon Glide suit, placed inside the suit. The tapings, which follow the shape of an X, support and stabilise the core and connect the upper body to the hips. They help you notice if the body rotates too far during the stroke and return you to an economical, streamlined swimming position.
The back of the suit has firm tapings running over the buttocks and rear thighs, inside the suit. They lift the hips and legs, ease leg extension and help maintain the correct swimming position when tired. The lift from the taping is especially noticeable in the turn and dolphin kick.
The new Flex-Max straps are wider. With a flexible base and edge, the straps stay flat against the shoulders without folding. The greater width allows better pressure distribution, reducing strain on the shoulder (trapezius muscle) and minimising restrictions. The result is improved mobility, reduced fatigue and greater overall comfort. A silicone band at the leg opening keeps the leg in place.
The flexible suit is easy to put on, which significantly speeds up race-day routines. Veloce can be put on in five minutes, whereas a traditional racing suit could take 30-45 minutes to put on. Still choose the same size as your previous Arena racing suit or follow the size chart. The speed of putting the suit on says nothing about how well the size fits. The flexible Veloce is comfortable to wear and still delivers higher compression.
