W Powerskin Primo Open Back is a women's open-back competition swimsuit. Neon Blaze special collection.
Primo is the world's first tensoelastic competition swimsuit. Primo combines powerful compression with exceptional stretch in a new way. The suit supports the muscles and allows plenty of room for movement. This versatile new suit is suitable for all swimming disciplines and distances.
The suit is the result of several years of arena's development and research work, carried out in close collaboration with elite swimmers. The suit cannot be compared to previous racing suits, as it is based on a completely new technology built on textile innovation. The word Primo means "first" in Italian.
The suit's new Hyperforce™ fabric is tensoelastic (tension + elasticity); the fabric is firm yet flexible. Primo combines the highest level of compression, durability, and an entirely new kind of stretch throughout. The suit feels comfortable to wear and does not restrict movement.
The Hyperforce™ fabric has a flow-directing surface that reduces water resistance and improves glide. The fabric is naturally water-repellent TPU fiber, which further improves hydrodynamics. Thanks to the material, the suit can be recycled at the end of its life.
The front of the suit features the X-tape structure known from arena's Carbon Glide suit, built into the inside of the suit. The X-shaped taping supports and stabilizes the core and connects the upper body to the hips. The taping helps you notice if the body rotates too far during the pull and brings you back into an economical, streamlined swimming position.
The back of the suit has sturdy taping over the buttocks and back of the thighs on the inside of the suit. The taping lifts the hips and legs, makes leg extension easier, and helps maintain the correct swimming position when tired. The lifting effect of the taping is especially noticeable during turns and dolphin kicks.
The stretchy suit is easy to put on, which significantly speeds up race-day routines. Primo can be put on in five minutes, while a traditional competition swimsuit could take 30-45 minutes to put on. Still, choose the same size as your previous Arena competition swimsuit, or follow the size chart. How quickly the suit goes on does not indicate whether the size is correct. The stretchy Primo is comfortable to wear while still offering top-class compression. Added fabric on the straps increases comfort further. A silicone band at the leg opening keeps the leg in place.
